28 December 2007 Update

Fellow Colgan Pilot,

Happy Holidays!

This email is to inform you about the Colgan Pilot Group (CPG). The CPG is a committee created by Colgan Air Pilots for Colgan Air pilots. We envision the CPG as the pilot’s communication source to upper management. Through the CPG we can address issues, offer suggestions, and use all of our diverse backgrounds to work together and support each other. Let’s combine our experiences and create a committee that will serve our interests. Here is the most up to date information regarding the CPG.

The Colgan management team has agreed to engage in dialogue with the CPG to address issues affecting our pilot group and to discuss/implement necessary changes. On Dec. 10, 2007 CPG volunteers met with Colgan management to discuss how the CPG can be a part of the future of Colgan Air. The CPG and company officials have agreed to meet on a monthly basis. The next meeting is scheduled for January 14th, 2007.

The CPG has created a website, www.colganpilotgroup.com. This website will be the first line of communication for the CPG. It allows for secure access, the ability to conduct surveys, elections, and also has offers an open forum for current Colgan Air pilots.

CPG Committee volunteers are currently creating a structure that will best serve the pilot group. To view this structure, visit our website at www.colganpilotgroup.com. If you have an ideas or comments about the CPG structure, please share them with us. The current plan is to have 3 regions, each one with an elected representative to serve the pilots of that region. Through the CPG website you can nominate pilots to represent your region. Once nominations have been received, a vote will take place. Details are available on the CPG website.

CPG Update:

Happy holidays to everyone. This memo is to update you on the CPG progress. On Monday Dec. 10, CPG committee members met with company officials to discuss CPG progress and put some preliminary issues on the table. Many good ideas to fix simple problems were discussed. Here is a brief overview of matters discussed:

• Slow/nonresponsive Crewtrac: It is believed the current server is not adequate to handle the amount of traffic that is received during the bid period. The company has recently purchased new server equipment which should fix the Crewtrac issues.

• A new 30 day bid is being implemented by the company. They are also working on getting bids and awards out earlier month to month. This is something that has to be worked out with the codeshare partners and may take some time with schedule changes from moving flying from USAirways to United.

• A training program is being developed for crew schedulers on company pay/policy procedures. This will help with consistency when working with crew scheduling. The company has also proposed that pilot newhires observe crew scheduling and crew schedulers to observe flight crewmembers on the line. Scheduling issues is a priority for the CPG and more information is to follow.

• The company has recently purchased a new software program to aid flight crewmembers to prepare for flights. This software will allow crewmembers to print their own releases from any computer with internet access.

• CPG volunteers are working with company officials to revise the current pay credit section of the flight crewmember Policy Handbook. Expect to see these changes January 2008. The ultimate goal is to review the entire Flight Crewmember Policy Handbook.
